Tire Care Fast Facts

Simple things like checking your tire pressure to make sure that they are properly inflated can make a real difference in how long your tires last. Under or over-inflated tires don’t wear evenly and won’t last as long. For example;
  • Tires that are consistently 20% under- inflated can last 20% less.
  • Tires that should normally last 60,000 miles could be worn out and needing replacement by 48,000 miles.

Tire Services

  • Rotation - The front and rear axles and right and left sides of your car wear down your tires differently, so rotating your tires regularly between the different positions will ensure they wear evenly and last longer.
  • Balancing - Out-of-balance tires may be more noticeable at higher speeds. Balancing tires is necessary during initial installation and during a remount. Occasionally, they could lose an insert and require balancing if you are feeling a shudder that gets worse with speed.
  • Be mindful of abnormal tire wear or damage to your tires. Watch for signs of punctures, embedded objects, cracks, and bulges.

It Save money on fuel

  • Under-inflated tires are one of the biggest causes of using excess fuel.
  • Under-inflated tires have higher rolling resistance, which means it takes more effort from the engine to move your vehicle.
  • Safety - A blow out or flat can easily lead to an accident

How To Tell If You Need New Tires?

Piece of mind with a penny…
Place a penny head first into into the tread grooves across the tire. If you see the top of Lincoln’s head, your treads are worn and possibly dangerous. Your tires should be replaced.
If the top part of Lincolns head is always covered by the tread, you have more that 2/32 of an inch of tread depth remaining. This means your probably don’t need new tires

Engine Coolant Exchange

At Lusti Motors we perform a complete cooling system exchange, extract all the old fluid, replenish with new coolant and purge the cooling system of any air.
Next, we confirm proper operation of all the cooling fans, Thermostat, etc. road test and of course a complete 21 point vehicle inspection.

Tire Alignment

Fuel Efficiency Increase.

When your cars tires are not aligned correctly, your tires won’t work together. Because of this, the wear and tear on your tires is increased and your cars engine has to work a lot harder to move you forward, and this increases your car’s fuel consumption.

Costly Auto Repairs Reduced.

Driving with wheels out of alignment can cause the parts in your car to wear unevenly and prematurely. Your steering and suspension systems take a hit each time you hit a pothole or bump in the road. When your out of alignment wheels aren’t evenly helping with the impact, some of these systems can get hit harder than others. This causes them to break down faster than they should. If they break down completely… Well, that could have been avoided, but now you’re looking at an expensive auto repair service .

Smoother Driving.

Drifting slightly to the right or left, even even with the steering wheel aimed straight ahead, is a good sign that the alignment is off. Having to adjusting your steering to overcompensate for a bad alignment is tiring, inefficient, distracting and dangerous!

Vehicle Safety.Improves

Properly maintaining your car, no matter what make or model will help it to run better. No one likes to be stranded on the side of the road. Don’t put off getting your tires aligned until it’s too late.

Longer Life for Your Tires.

Your tires are expensive and important auto parts. They can wear our much more quickly if you don’t get regular wheel alignments. With aligned tires, they are working together, they will take you a lot further and you won’t have to replace your tires faster than you need to.
